What is Wu Yi Tea?

Wu Yi tea is popular is many Asian countries, and some have made a link between the slim Asian physique and Wu Yi tea consumption. While Wu Yi tea undoubtedly plays a part in keeping Asians slim, but what is more important is traditional Asian diet. You should notice that the typical Asian diet is plant-based as opposed to the meat-protein diet of Western countries.

So, from this fact you can make such a simple rule: anyone, who wants to lose weight will benefit from daily consumption of Wu Yi tea, but there is much more to it than that. Permanent weight loss can only be accomplished by permanent lifestyle changes. This means eating healthy foods, for example low dairy food consumption, a moderate amount of fish, a small amount of poultry and eggs and what is more getting plenty of exercise.

But the question is how does drinking wu-yi tea, or oolong tea every day actually help you lose weight? It's called "polyphenol", and not only is it found in oolong tea, but green and black tea as well. The difference in green tea and Wu Yi Wulong tea is processing. All tea is green when picked. Green tea is heated in order to halt the natural enzymatic reaction (oxidation) of the leaf. Once dried, green tea leaves are then rolled intentionally breaking the cell structure. Wu Yi Wulong tea leaves are plucked, kept under carefully controlled conditions and allowed to oxidize. These leaves are not intentionally broken, leaving most of the cell structure intact. These processing differences make each category of tea beneficially different even though they come from the same plant.

It just so happens that oolong tea has the higher concentration when it comes to polyphenol as green and black have less amounts. A polyphenol is a bio-active ingredient that stimulates the breakdown of fat by activating enzymes that dissolve fat in your body. This in turn speeds up your metabolism! Thus, drinking oolong tea regularly enhances the function of fat metabolism and controlling obesity.

So, you see, it's rather a difficult process, but it really helps not only to lose weight but also just to feel yourself better.
